Celebritites and the media are normally blamed for putting unrealistic weight restrictions on Americans in the modern world. So what if the celebrities themselves feel as though they are not fitting into their appropriate weight requirements? Well, they normally hire ridiculously expensive personal trainers, go on even more ridiculous super-diets and have results like these. Of course, this is not the only reason for celebrity weight-loss. Actors in particular flucuate in size regularly to fit into certain roles-- pun intended. Some of the women on our list did a particularly amazing job of shedding a ton of weight directly after giving birth. And some were simply looking to feel better and live a healthier lifestyle.
Whatever their reasons, most of these celebs look absolutely great after dropping a few pounds. However, some of them took it to the extreme and are barely recognizable now. See what you think about the smaller versions of your favorite celebrities.

She has always been beautiful, but the lost weight has particularly improved the appearance of her arms and thighs.
To date, one of the funniest women in Hollywood has dropped 50 pounds and counting! She credits her weight-loss to what seems like a counter-intuitive mindset.

It seems like we have watched Raven Symone grow her whole life, and many of us literally have. She started on The Cosby Show at age three and has remained in the spotlight ever since. More recently, we have watched the current co-host of The View grow in reverse. The formerly "thick and fabulous" Symone has shed 70 pounds and is even more lovely than ever.
When John Goodman is small, the world no longer makes sense. Although he is still not quite small, the man who first entered our homes as Dan Connor on Roseanne has lost a significant amount of his formerly extra-large frame. Goodman's struggles with alcoholism have been well-documented, and he likens his problems with eating to his earlier drinking issues. His solution was pretty simple.
"I just stopped eating all the time," says Goodman.
The second funny lady on the list, Rebel Wilson has recently begun to lose weight as well. The Daytime Emmy winner and General Hospital star recently lost over 30 pounds thanks to Nutrisystem. That sounds like something you would hear on a commericial, and as a matter of fact, Genie Francis is scheduled to start doing commercials for Nutrisystem soon.
Late-night TV star Jimmy Kimmel has struggled with his weight since he was a child. He recently lost over 25 pounds thanks to the 5:2 diet. If you are unfamiliar with the diet, it's a trendy name for fasting two days a week.

Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer Bill Crutchfield."
Although funny man Seth Rogen slimmed down some time ago, the method by which he dropped (and kept off) 30 pounds is noteworthy. The reason it is interesting is because every diet scam on the internet claims it was through their method, though Rogen himself has never actually talked specifically about how he did it.
